Looking to work on your Judy Niemeyer project? This three-day sewing camp is the perfect opportunity! Eileen Urbanek, an experienced instructor, will be here to assist you with any Judy Niemeyer pattern you're tackling. If you're new to paper piecing, we recommend taking one of our beginner classes first to master the basics before joining this session.
Basic Supply List for Most Patterns
(Recommended by Eileen)
Ensure you bring the following supplies to make the most of your sewing experience:
- Your Judy Niemeyer pattern package
- Thread that complements your fabric choices
- Iron and pressing mat
- Rotary cutter
- Rulers:
- 24" x 6" or 6 ½" (or your preferred size)
- 12" x 6" or 6 ½"
- Cutting mat: Medium-sized (12" x 18" is ideal for use by your machine)
- Template plastic: Approximately 3" x 12" for folding paper
- Sewing machine: With both a ¼" foot and an open-toe foot
- Add-A-Quarter Rulers:
- 12" (required)
- 6" (optional)
- Washout fabric glue stick (brands like SewLine or Fons & Porter)
- Pins: .55mm Flower Head or .5mm 1?” Glass Head Pins (long shanks preferred)
- Purple Thang
- Needles: Size 70/10 Microtex Sharp sewing needles
