ByAnnie Side Hustle bag class is a great class for beginners to seasoned sewists! The byannie Side Hustle Bag is a highly versatile, streamlined crossbody sling and waist bag pattern. It is engineered to carry daily essentials like a wallet, phone, and passport while maintaining a flat, body-hugging profile that can even be worn comfortably under a jacket.
Supplies needed for this class (we will be updating this listing as we receive the supplies):
- up to 5/8 yard for main fabric
- up to 3/4 yard lining fabric
- 1/2 yard byannies soft and stable
- fusible interfacing (for facing, strap tabs)
- Handbag zippers
- 1"/1 1/2" polypro strapping ( 1 1/2 yards)
- Hardware (your choice: side release buckle strap, wide-mouth slider, swivel hooks or triangle rings)

- basic sewing supplies (scissors, seam ripper, rotary blade, etc)

| Instructor Bio: | Joyce brings over three decades of precision, leadership, and teaching experience to the quilting world. Following a distinguished 36-year career with the Department of Defense—including five years as Chief of Aircraft and Engineering Training—she transitioned her passion for instruction from military training rooms to creative classrooms.A lifelong sewist since junior high, Joyce originally used stitching as a retreat from her high-responsibility career. Today, she is a traveling instructor specializing in beginner and intermediate quilting, as well as specialized Sallie Tomato and ByAnnie bag-making classes. As a testament to her technical expertise, Joyce was recently selected as one of only 25 nationwide applicants to become a Certified Instructor through Sallie Tomato Patterns. When she isn't teaching, she designs and creates high-quality quilts, bags, and home decor for her creative small business, established in 2015. |
