Sew Together Bag Class with Joyce Gunder
The Sew Together Bag is a great beginner and scrap friendly bag that can be used for sewing notions, drawing pens, makeup... the sky is the limit! In this class you will master zipper installation and more.
Supplies needed for this class:
- Sew Together Bag pattern (Sew Together Bag)
- Exterior fabric (1 fat quarter 18"x22")
- Lining fabric (1/2 yard x WOF)
- Binding fabric (1 fat quarter 18"x22")
- 1/2 yard fusible interfacing
- 1 18"x22" piece of batting or fusible fleece (if quilting outside piece)
- 1-18" zipper
- 3- 9" zippers
- needle landing- wool felt 3"x4"
- Template plastic
- Basic sewing supplies (scissors, seam ripper, rotary cutter, etc)

| Instructor Bio: | Joyce brings over three decades of precision, leadership, and teaching experience to the quilting world. Following a distinguished 36-year career with the Department of Defense—including five years as Chief of Aircraft and Engineering Training—she transitioned her passion for instruction from military training rooms to creative classrooms.A lifelong sewist since junior high, Joyce originally used stitching as a retreat from her high-responsibility career. Today, she is a traveling instructor specializing in beginner and intermediate quilting, as well as specialized Sallie Tomato and ByAnnie bag-making classes. As a testament to her technical expertise, Joyce was recently selected as one of only 25 nationwide applicants to become a Certified Instructor through Sallie Tomato Patterns. When she isn't teaching, she designs and creates high-quality quilts, bags, and home decor for her creative small business, established in 2015. |
