Be Square Beginner Quilting Tablerunner
Learn the basics of beginner quilt piecing, how to read a pattern, why ironing is important and so much more! Utilizing the Villa Rosa pattern called, Be Square, you'll walk away having completed a nice table runner for your home (or for a gift!)
Supplies needed for this class:
- 1/4 yard (or 4 7 1/2 inch panel squares for the main fabric
- 1/2 yard for the frames
- 1/4 yard for background fabric
- Be Square pattern (available at Beth's)
- Sewing machine
- Basic notions (scissors, seam ripper, rotary cutter, etc)
- Ruler (16 in minimum)
- Thread

| Instructor Bio: | Joanne has been sewing since she was five years old. Although her mom and aunts didn’t let her use a sewing machine early on, she could hand piece some fancy Barbie clothes. Her first job was at a big box store that had the same name as her. She was a garment sewist for years then moved on to quilting and other crafts. Over the years Joanne has taught many sewing and craft classes to include BERNINA Club, Block of the Months, Tucker University and many quilt classes. She has assisted in large events such as two Kaffe Fassett workshops and BERNINA Academies. She will make your events fun and informative. Joanne was a partner in a startup to teach refugees to sew for profit. She believes language is not a barrier in sharing and teaching the love of sewing. |
